It's safe to trust nobody in DC. I'm not sure if this is a red flag, maybe someone can bring clarity on this:

Thomas Massie is confirmed to have been a member of DeMolay International, specifically as a Senior DeMolay from the Crimson Shield Chapter in Vanceburg, Kentucky, according to official communications from DeMolay International during his congressional re-elections in 2018 and 2020.

Despite this, Massie has not publicly confirmed or denied his membership, and he has not responded to direct inquiries on social media.

The organization is a Masonic youth group for boys aged 12 to 21, sponsored by Freemasonry, though membership in DeMolay is not a requirement for later Freemasonry affiliation.

DeMolay International publicly acknowledged Massie as a Senior DeMolay in 2018 and again in 2020, citing his membership in the Crimson Shield Chapter in Vanceburg, Kentucky.

The Crimson Shield Chapter is a real local DeMolay chapter, and the term "Senior DeMolay" indicates he completed his involvement as a youth member.

While some sources, like Grok, state there is no definitive evidence confirming his membership and note that the Crimson Shields are a fictional group from a game, this appears to be a misinterpretation; the Crimson Shield Chapter is a legitimate DeMolay chapter.

Massie has not directly addressed the question in public, and his official congressional and Wikipedia pages do not mention DeMolay.

DeMolay International is a youth organization focused on leadership, community service, and character development, and is considered part of the Masonic family of organizations.
